Advertising Policy for Google AdSense and sponsorships

This Advertising Policy explains how ads, sponsorships, and affiliate links appear on TheTechLane. It applies whenever advertising is shown, including Google AdSense display ads.

1. How we monetize

TheTechLane is an independent technology publication. We fund the site through:

  • Google AdSense display advertising (publisher ID ca-pub-6470514963042849)
  • Optional sponsorships and partnerships, clearly labeled
  • Affiliate links, disclosed on the page and in our Affiliate Disclosure

2. Editorial independence

Advertising does not buy editorial coverage. We keep a clear separation between articles, labeled sponsorships, display ads, and affiliate mentions. Advertisers cannot purchase a favorable review or hide a criticism.

3. How ads are shown

  • Display ads are served by Google AdSense and labeled as advertising
  • Ads are kept distinguishable from editorial content (not disguised as articles or download buttons)
  • We follow Google Publisher Policies and the Coalition for Better Ads standards
  • We do not encourage anyone to click ads, and we do not click our own ads
  • We do not place ads in a way intended to generate accidental clicks

4. What we do not accept

We do not want ads or sponsorships that promote:

  • Illegal products or services, malware, phishing, or scams
  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Tobacco, illegal drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods
  • Misleading health, financial, or “get rich quick” claims
  • Content that violates applicable law or Google ad policies

Google, not TheTechLane, chooses most AdSense creatives. We can block sensitive categories in the AdSense console where Google provides that control.

5. Privacy and cookies

Google and other vendors use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Details, including how to opt out of personalized ads, are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Authorized digital sellers are listed in ads.txt at the root of this domain, as required for Google AdSense authorized inventory.
