Practical tech writing for people who build
TheTechLane is an independent technology publication based in India. We publish original tutorials, industry news, and deep dives for software engineers — written so you can use the ideas at work the same day.
TheTechLane is an independent technology publication based in India. We write original tutorials, explainers, and news for software engineers who need to use the idea at work the same day — not a press-release roundup and not an unedited AI feed.
What we publish
Our desk covers four ongoing beats:
- Tutorials — step-by-step Java and tooling guides with commands you can run, including JDK setup, compilation, and first programs.
- AI engineering — RAG, embeddings, vector databases, MCP, and coding agents, written as working notes rather than vendor slogans.
- Programming — REST APIs, OOP, DSA, and language comparisons aimed at people choosing a stack, not collecting trivia.
- News — product and industry stories that change how developers ship software, with context instead of a headline dump.
Individual reviews, comparisons, deals, and tool write-ups appear when a writer has something specific to add. Those sections stay off the main navigation until there is a real set of articles.
Who writes here
Articles carry a named byline. The current writing desk includes Priya Sharma (tech news), Karthik Subramaniam (AI and emerging tools), and contributing writers Suraj Patil and Ananya Desai. Each piece lists the author, a publish date, and a link to that author’s archive.
How we work
Writers may use AI tools for research, outlines, and copy-editing. A human editor owns the final facts, code samples, and voice. We do not publish pages whose only job is to host ads. We do not invent traffic numbers or “best of” lists we have not evaluated.
If something is wrong, email hello@thetechlane.in with the URL and the correction. We update the article and keep the original publish date visible.
